He studied art and architecture in Venice.
Since 1977 he has been collaborating with Bernini s.p.a. of which he became artistic director in 1979, contributing to the catalog and image until 2009. In 1986 he was called by Poltrona Frau to create the division “Frau Aviation” with Fabio Lenci. In the same year he opened a studio in Venice and was called as a “visiting professor” at the Polytechnic of Milan where he held lectures and meetings with the students until the midnineties. In 1989 he was commissioned by the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice for the Design course he held until 1996. In the same years he deals with passion of the design community in Italy founding some regional associations, a national coordination of Design in Rome, called C.N.A.D. and the Mediterranean School of Design in Reggio Calabria. Between 1988 and 2010 he held a series of conferences on Design at S. Paolo, Tokyo, Quito, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami and New York. Since 1995 his “Flying Chair” is in the permanent collection of The Denver Art Museum, in the following years many of his creations will be acquired by: “Fonds National d’Art Contemporain” in Paris, the “Magma Museum” of Roccamonfina, the collection ” Farnesina Design “in Rome and the Museo Della Triennale di Milano. In 2007 he won the “DesignX Australian Design Award”, in 2005, 2007 and 2014 he received the “Good Design Award” of the Chicago Atenaeum, in 2008 he received the Honorable Mention at the XXI Compasso D’Oro for the LOOM meeting of Matteograssi. From 2007 to 2010 provide the reception areas of the Venice Art and Architecture Biennale.
